Hi-Fi World magazine massively impressed by the best Antila yet

Amongst the reviewers that know, competition is hot to get the first test of a new piece of Leema equipment. Not having reviewed any Leema himself, Hi-Fi World editor, David Price, has pulled rank and reviewed the new Leema Antila IIS Eco himself. David was very clearly impressed and writes: 'I've spent a lot of time recently with Japanese high end stuff and enjoyed it, but listening to the Leema I'm reminded how different the 'house sound' of Brit machines is, and why they're so liked in Japan! Put simply, the Leema has a more organic sound than you'd get from a serious Nipponese machine, yet doesn't give away even so much as a ha'penny in its resolution. Indeed, the Antila IIS Eco struck me as offering the rare and desirable combination of incredidble insight and yet consummate smoothness.'

David continues by perfectly explaining one of Leema's key traits: 'Fundamental to this player's sound is its exactingly forensic detail retrieval, which is utterly exceptional at or near the price, plus the relaxed yet musical way it strings it all together.' Of course, this perfect marriage between information retrieval and beguiling musical integrity is one Leema pride themselves on achieving time after time.

'As such, right now I'd say it's one of the best CD players under £5,000.' Concludes this review of the new Leema Antilla IIS Eco.
